Sheerframe PVC-U window, door and conservatory products are manufactured by LB Plastics Limited, one of the country’s largest manufacturers of PVC window systems and building products. A wholly owned British company with headquarters in Derbyshire, the Group also has manufacturing plants in Knaresborough, North America, Germany and Poland.
Sheerframe products have been designed specifically to meet the requirements of the UK's housebuilders. The Sheerframe range includes all styles of conventional casement windows along with French doors, entrance doors and conservatories and includes the Sheerframe HED system which achieves U-values of just 0.8W/m2K. Such a low U value is equivalent to the rating required for Category 5 and 6 star rated dwellings in the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Sheerframe is the sustainable choice for housebuilding applications. All Sheerframe products are manufactured using Calcium Organic stabilisers instead of traditional lead based stabilisers. Our manufacturing plant is accredited to the BS EN 14001 environmental standard and Sheerframe products have unique technical benefits that contribute their environmental credentials.
The latest addition to the Sheerframe range is the groundbreaking PVC vertically sliding sash window, a design which offers egress to the requirements of Part B of the Building Regulations. Its innovative engineering means much smaller PVC vertically sliding sash windows can now be used as escape windows for the first time, with windows just 900mm high complying with the legislation.
