Sheerframe windows offer high performance, security, reliability and style as standard.

Specifications can be adapted to meet the requirements of specific sites. For example, where higher security performance is required to comply with Secured by Design, coloured finishes or specific window designs. The 'Housebuilder' team at LB Plastics can provide advice and will work with you to interpret your requirements and ensure that Building Regulations are met.

Profiles

White surface finish with beveled/Ovolo rebates.
Kitemarked to BS EN 12608
Accredited by the BBA
Co-extruded with weatherseal and gaskets – prevents gasket shrinkage
4/5 chambered for optimum thermal performance

Construction

Design wind loading - 1200Pa.
Greater strength specifications are possible for exposed locations.

Glazing

Ovolo glazing bead fitted internally
Low-E and Argon
A wide range of glass configurations are available including self-cleaning and acoustic insulating units.

Ventilation

Gas-tight controllable ventilators to comply with Part F - fitted either in an overframe cartridge or through the frame.

Hardware

Hinges - easy clean stainless steel friction hinges.
Options on Egress hinges and restricted hinges.
Multi-point Espagnolette locking system.
Options on Shootbolt locking systems for enhanced security.

Thermal

Standard windows provide a U-value of 1.7 and a window energy rating category 'C' (BFRC).
Sheerframe windows can be provided with category 'A' window energy ratings and U values down to 1.3

Acoustic

Sound insulation is in the order of 25dB with 24mm glazing (4-16-4).

Colours

Sheerframe windows are available in a range of woodgrain foil finishes and also colours including contemporary greys and traditional cream.
